Joe Scarborough
Born in Sheffield in 1938, Joe Scarborough is an artist most famous for bringing to life the everyday scenes of South Yorkshire, painting humorous depictions of Sheffield life. Originally hailing from Pitsmoor, an area to the North of Sheffield City Centre, Joe still lives in his hometown to this day on his much loved narrowboat.

An international art gallery and museum, we commission, collect and re-think modern and contemporary art. We build and celebrate creativity and support change towards an open and inclusive future. As the artistic heart of the School of Arts & Creative Industries at Teesside University, MIMA is dedicated to collaborative learning, research and innovation.
The Pinery
The Pinery is a collection of original artworks (116 Pieces) produced by Brenda Mary Watson. Brenda’s commercial art is now managed by the Pineapple Gallery, where time limited leases can be purchased to reproduce her designs in the current market.

Ey up! We are Jo and Mike (JAM), we’re ex colleagues, now business partners, both with a graphic design background. Our mutual love of typography, colour, print and the North, inspired us to start sharing our range of designs mixed with a bit of Yorkshire humour, which we’ve been doing now for over eight years as Jam Artworks.
Bongate Gallery
Born in Shildon, Co. Durham in 1947, growing up as a child of the railways Eric showed artistic talent at a very early age. He painted a mural to The Beatles on his mother’s living room wall at age 16!
Upon completing school, Eric worked as an industrial chemist until the very early 80’s, after which he launched his career as a professional artist. Specialising in watercolours, but also loves painting in oils, pastels and acrylics.
